Bring ‘em Back: Nike Air Zoom Swoopes

It’s time for another WNBA star to get a signature sneaker, right? We think so. While we celebrate Mother’s Day and look forward to the next shoe to sport the name of a female athlete, we look back at one of the best basketball shoes to do so. The Nike Air Zoom Swoopes was one of the many great models worn and endorsed by Sheryl Swoopes. Progressive and aggressive, elegant and elite, the shoe still looks stylish sixteen years later. In Retrospect: Nike Zoom KD IV “Mint Candy”

Nike Basketball has become synonymous with themed sneakers. This year’s Nike Basketball “Easter” Collection was of a colorful variety. However, last year the Nike Zoom KD IV “Mint Candy” introduced a new color, and was the most popular of the Easter Collection. The title color draped the majority of the shoe, with a slight break coming in the form of a new green colored Adaptive Fit strap and white accents. Exactly one year after its release, the KD IV ”Mint Candy” remains a head-turning colorway. Were you able to grab a pair when they released? If not, do you wish you would have? Let us know your story.
