Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% Flyknit Debuts This Fall

During the Breaking2 campaign, Nike engineered some of its best running shoes for its world-class runners as they strived to run through human limitations of running 26.2 miles under two hours. The Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite was created in light of this Goliath-sized task.

Although the runners failed to run a marathon under two hours, a new shoe emerged from this running renaissance as the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% released. Featuring the ZoomX foam that was popularized by the Vaporfly Elite (and now found in the Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo) and a carbon fiber plate, this upcoming Vaporfly 4% comes in a more breathable upper as Nike graces the pair with Flyknit.

Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “All Star” Drops Next Month

Kobe Bryant’s signature collection remains a fixture in the Nike Basketball lexicon years following his retirement from the NBA. Both Bryant and Nike alluded to this fact even before Bean stepped away from the game; they’ve held true to that promise and then some.

His very-first performance retro, the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro, joins his debut signature sneaker with modern-day tooling and tech. Released earlier this year in both original colorways and an Undefeated collaboration, respectively, the latest pair to land in stores was an ode to the Lakers former home in Minneapolis.

Next in line for the Zoom Kobe 1 Protro is another OG colorway. Sort of.

Taking inspiration from the Zoom Kobe 1 Bryant wore during the 2006 NBA All-Star Game, a white, red and black upper fills the leather composed retro. Bryant’s original pair, of course, featured royal blue in lieu of black, in line with the Western Conference uniforms that year.

It’s reported that the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “All-Star” will release this August. Nike has not yet confirmed those details. Until they do, grab a closer look below.

Update 7/26: Official images of the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “All-Star” have been revealed. The shoe is reported to release on August 1.

Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 1 “25 Straight” Odes LeBron James’ Memorable 2007 ECF Moment

Nowadays there’s a lot of chatter surrounding LeBron James as the best basketball player of all time. An argument that only ruffles feathers when Michael Jordan enters the conversation. James is an unrivaled all-time great with the championships, MVPs and stats to reinforce said claim. But back in the late 2000s he was simply great, not yet an all-time great.

It would be the moments to come that would lift James into the upper echelon of hoops hierarchy. And while countless plays and games come to mind, his performance in Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals stand out among the most remarkable.

In a close game against a veteran Detroit Pistons team, James put the Cavs on his back and rattled off 25 straight points to lift his team to a thrilling 109-107 victory. LeBron finished the game just shy of a 50-piece with 48 points, shooting 11 for 13 on those final 25 points.

Nike’s “Championship Think 16” Pack honors this historic moment in Bron history with not only a special edition “25 Straight” release, but the very first retro of his Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 1. The colorway closely replicates the pair James wore on that faithful day in 2007 with a few special notations to commemorate the release.

The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 1 “25 Straight” is set to drop on May 31 which, fittingly, marks the anniversary of that incredible Game 5.

Nike Debuts Mike Trout’s All-New Zoom Trout 4 Cleat

The way Mike Trout dominates the game of baseball you wouldn’t think he’s only 25 years old. You also wouldn’t assume that the Vineland, New Jersey-born slugger has seven record-breaking seasons under his belt. Yet he is, and he does, with relative smoothness only the elite possess. His efforts are rewarded by Nike with a fourth iteration of his signature shoe – the Nike Zoom Trout 4 Trainer.

Crowned as Nike’s most complete date-informed cleat to date, the Zoom Trout 4 marks the pinnacle of performance innovation. Swoosh designers and engineers have been continually gathering personalized data based on Trout’s foot and body movements to refine his signature cleat. They also debut new technology like a budding plate structure that is directly mapped to Trout’s performance data for stability, flexibility and explosiveness.

The shoe debuts in a “Mahi Mahi” colorway, an extension of his legacy of fish-inspired cleats. Take a closer look at the Nike Zoom Trout 4 Trainer + Cleat below and pick up a pair now at Nike.

LeBron James Debuts Nike Zoom Soldier 11 // Kicks On Court

words // Nick DePaula:

In a bit of a surprise, LeBron James decided to debut his newest sneaker earlier than expected, taking the floor this afternoon for Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs in a new wine and yellow Nike Zoom Soldier 11.

The sixth straight Soldier model designed by Jason Petrie, the 11 is a slight progression of last year’s Soldier 10, once again featuring ergonomic support straps, a sleeved upper and going laceless. Apparently four straps is better than three, going by simple math.

Initially, James was expected to wear the LeBron 14 for at least the opening round of the playoffs, before switching to the Soldier later in the postseason, as we saw him do last year during his road to the first NBA title in Cavaliers franchise history. The shoe isn’t slated to release until later this summer in June, but we can expect to see LeBron wearing a variety of player exclusive editions from here on out throughout the Cavs’ playoff run.

What do you think of the latest LeBron model on court?
