Watch Post Malone Smash Guitars And Shotgun Beers In ‘Better Now’ Video

If you loved watching Post Malone and Aerosmith smash a guitar onstage at the VMAs, you’ll definitely want to watch the rapper’s new video for “Better Now.”

Released on Friday (October 5), the Adam Degross-directed vid chronicles Post’s touring adventures via a black-and-white compilation of his finest live moments. When he’s not performing in front of throngs of hyped fans, we see Post shotgunning a Bud Light, riding a scooter, wearing a tiara, and, of course, gleefully smashing an axe. All of this has nothing to do with the breakup-centric lyrics of “Better Now,” but it doesn’t really matter — this is about seeing Post in his element and proving why he’s a bonafide rockstar.

“Better Now” is yet another top 10 hit from Malone’s chart-topping sophomore album, beerbongs & bentleys. It’s been a banner year for the rapper, and he’s not slowing down yet — on October 28, he’s set to throw his inaugural Posty Fest, headlined by himself and Travis Scott. Check out the full lineup below.

Watch Kendrick Lamar Pay Tribute To Mac Miller’s Life, Music, And Contagious Smile

While the music world continues to feel the aftershocks from the unexpected passing of Mac Miller — who died on September 7 at age 26 — memorials and tributes for the late rapper have been flowing in. The latest comes from Kendrick Lamar, who thoughtfully remembered his friend and collaborator in a video recorded for Complex’s Open Late With Peter Rosenberg on Wednesday night (September 12).

After calling Miller a “funny, funny, funny individual” and talking about how he had “the same type of sick, twisted sense of humor” as him, Lamar continued, “Great musician, great writer. Just always had a smile on his face, and that’s something that I commend. No matter what he was going through, he didn’t make you feel sorry for him. He was strong about it.”

Lamar, who collaborated with Miller on 2016′s “God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty,” further commended the Pittsburgh MC’s unbridled positive energy.

“He always kept a smile on his face because he wanted you to smile too, and that’s just something I always loved,” he said. “No matter whatever personal issues, he gave you that energy. It wasn’t no ‘misery loves company’ with him. He showed a smile and you gave that smile right back. It made you feel good. So forever we gonna remember the life and we gonna remember that smile. Celebrate. Mac Miller. Love!”

Lamar’s video comes just a day after thousands of Miller’s family, friends, and fans gathered at Pittsburgh’s Blue Slide Park to honor his life with a hometown vigil.

The Open Late episode also featured Miller tributes from Macklemore, Machine Gun Kelly, Ty Dolla $ ign, and more. See the full episode here.

Watch Kanye West And Lil Pump Basically Become Lego People In ‘I Love It’ Video

It’s been a big week for Kanye West. After tweeting an apology to Drake for letting their relationship sour, he served as the creative director for the inaugural Pornhub Awards Thursday night (September 6).

In this role, ‘Ye apparently assisted with the particular design of the trophies for the ceremony, and NSFW merch bearing the likenesses of night’s winners is currently available for purchase at the Yeezy online store. But Kanye didn’t stop there; he also dropped a brand-new song with Lil Pump called “I Love It,” the video for which is an absolute trip.

The song itself only spans about two minutes, but the accompanying visual (directed by Kanye and Amanda Adelson) squeezes every moment of lunacy from those 130 seconds. It doesn’t amount to much more than Kanye and Pump warped and shrunk into what might be best described as Lego block people, waddling along and delivering the song’s hook: “You’re such a fucking ho / I love it.” But that’s plenty.

Kanye and Pump rock comically overlarge footwear; Kaney’s is an exaggerated version of the sandals he was ridiculed for wearing to 2 Chainz’s wedding in late August. Comedian Adele Givens gets a featured credit here, too, for a bit of her standup that bookends the song.

It’s notable that apart from a verse that’s mostly Kanye repeating, “I’m a sick fuck, I like a quick fuck,” his contributions to the song come from winking ad-libs, including one particularly knowing “scoop!” halfway through the song. The whole thing is wild, and you can watch it, in its fairly NSFW glory, above.

Watch Kyle Projectile Vomit On Wiz Khalifa In The After Party Trailer

Sometimes in order to achieve your dreams, you have to go through some seriously crazy shit. Apparently, no one knows that better than Kyle in his upcoming Netflix movie, The After Party, in which he plays an unknown rapper looking for his big break.

The comedy’s first trailer opens with Owen (Kyle) sampling his skills in front of a bathroom stall in the hopes of landing a record deal — but it turns out he’s pitching the intern (Jordan Rock) rather than the exec. From there, Owen and his “manager” Jeff (Harrison Holzer) continue the hustle, which brings them to the show that’s “gonna get us the deal.” Unfortunately, it ends up being the show where Owen projectile vomits on Wiz Khalifa, then has a mid-set seizure thanks to Wiz’s “incredibly strong weed.”

Owen becomes a viral sensation when he’s trolled as #SeezjahBoy, but Jeff convinces the aspiring rapper that he still has one last shot at legit fame. Enter: the after party, where DJ Khaled, French Montana, Pusha T, and more are practically waiting to discover Owen and give him that record deal. But getting there won’t be easy.

Surviving the hustle is a familiar trope for writer and director Ian Edelman, who created How To Make It In America, the HBO show that followed a group of 20-somethings trying to break into the NYC fashion industry and counted another rapper/actor, Kid Cudi, among its stars.

Teyana Taylor and Teen Wolf‘s Shelley Hennig also star in The After Party, which premieres August 24 on Netflix.

Watch A Tribe Called Quest Go To Space And Tribute Phife Dawg In Their ‘Final’ Video

This is it. A Tribe Called Quest bids farewell with their new video for “The Space Program,” the opening track from the group’s stellar 2016 reunion album, We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.

The Warren Fu-directed video is being billed as the group’s last, and if that’s true, at least they can say they went out with a bang. It opens with Q-Tip waking up in a spaceship of sorts, as televisions broadcast footage of riots and racist imagery. It’s a theme that’s visited throughout the video, particularly at the end, when the ship malfunctions and the message “I CAN’T BREATHE” — which echoes the last words of Eric Garner — appears. In the end, the three remaining members of Tribe end up on a barren planet. The late, great Phife Dog’s presence, meanwhile, is beautifully represented by a green, glowing orb.

The epic clip also includes a ton of cameos throughout, from Vince Staples, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monae, Pharrell, Alicia Keys, Rosario Dawson, Anderson .Paak, Common, Questlove, and more. They all appear to rap the song’s urgent hook: “Gotta get it together forever / Gotta get it together for brothers / Gotta get it together for sisters / For mothers and fathers and dead n—as.”

At the end, we see a dedication that reads “For Malik,” or Phife Dawg, who passed away in 2016. As the credits roll, a montage of classic ATCQ photos appear, as the group’s 1990 hit “Can I Kick It?” plays.

Preview the clip below, and watch the full 8-minute video exclusively on Apple Music.

Following the video’s premiere on Thursday (March 29), Q-Tip spoke to Zane Lowe about Phife’s passing. He said, “I miss my boy still. … And in this moment, I just break up when I hear my man’s voice or when I see [a] picture of us, or even if it’s not a Tribe record, I could hear a song that we grew up with, and we will always talk about something that was a personal favorite of ours or a tour favorite, or something that we would joke about or we would recall things like that.”

He continued, “But in terms of the actual group, in a professional setting, you know — I have the closure. I’m good with it. I look back at what we contributed to hip-hop, I look back at what we contributed to music, sometimes with disbelief.”

Watch Roy Woods Perform “Monday To Monday” On TRL

It hasn’t officially been declared, but I think we can all agree that Drake qualifies as presidential material. Last week, he released his music video for “God’s Plan”, really a documentation of his human outreach work within the U.S., specifically for residents in Miami. (I get teary-eyed just thinking about it!) Today, the TRL fam had the honor of spending President’s Day with his OVO signee Roy Woods. The Canadian artist came through rocking a bunch of gold bling with TRL‘s signature colors of black and yellow.

Spencer Pratt also returned for his weekly Siesta Key recap, but this time he got to dish on all the drama with the show’s new villain Canvas Brummel. (He also boldly threw some shots at Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lo Bosworth…) The cover stars for Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit issue also stopped by to play the yummiest round of “I Did It” with Amy Pham.

After re-telling one of his earliest interactions with Drake on the set for the “Energy” video, Roy closed out the show with an energetic performance of his latest single “Monday to Monday.” The track is featured on his debut album Say Less which is out now everywhere. Tune into TRL on weekdays at 4:00pm ET!

Watch Tyga & Iggy Azalea Celebrate Valentine’s Day On TRL

The TRL studio was overflowing with love today as Iggy Azalea and Tyga decided to spend their Valentine’s Day with DC Young Fly and Tamara Dhia. During the show, the rappers reflected on their love lives, shared some valuable advice to properly woo your boo, and gave updates on their upcoming projects.

Iggy also shared a sneak peak of her lyric video for her comeback single “Savior” featuring Quavo. After running through the trending topics, the rappers opened up even more about their personal lives in a heated round of I Did It (where Iggy did not hesitate to throw some serious shade at her ex Nick Young). A fan dared Iggy to read the last text message she sent and she willingly obliged… Turns out it was a text to Paris Hilton about attending her birthday party, NBD.

Last but not least, Tyga performed his latest single “Temperature” for the studio. Re-live the moment below and tune into TRL on weekdays at 4:00pm ET!

Nike Launches LeBron Watch Program

Nike tonight launches the LeBron Watch Program — a new initiative that follows James as he unveils PE iterations of the LeBron 15 inspired by iconic Nike athletes and the many Swoosh classics that they’ve worn. The King kicked off the program tonight by lacing up the Nike LeBron 15 “Waffle,” a sneaker inspired by the time-honored Nike Waffle Trainer from 1972.

James, a sports aficionado and sneaker fiend like many of us, grew up in the ’90s watching his favorite Swoosh athletes dominate their respective eras in signature styles and more. He odes their greatness with this innovative new program. And, what’s even more exciting, many of them will be up for grabs.

Now some of James’ new PEs he’ll keep to himself, but he’ll also make five of these PEs available to Nike members through Nike SNKRS. The shoes will be available as soon as he steps on the floor wearing them. Pretty cool, right?

“When I was a kid, the athletes and the shoes represented in this series inspired me to chase my dream of one day becoming a professional athlete,” recalls James. “It’s important to me to share these stories and inspiration with my fans. I want them to be a part of every step of my journey, so I’m excited we’re making these shoes available to them.”

Top Shelf // “Watch The Throne” Nike LeBron 9

words & images // Nick DePaula:

Long before Drake and Future teamed up for a (disappointing) joint album, both Kanye West and Jay Z joined forces on the much-loved Watch The Throne and its subsequent 63-show tour during the fall of 2011 and into 2012.

It was during that time that Kanye began wearing the Air Yeezy 2 regularly before its June 2012 launch, but Nike also gifted both Ye and Jay with a custom sneaker to celebrate their tour — the clean black and gold “Watch The Throne” LeBron 9.

With a black mesh and faux carbon weave upper, the shoe was set off by hits of metallic gold along the Swoosh and also featured a very timely Givenchy-inspired printed sockliner and laces.

Take a detailed look at the very rare “Watch The Throne” LeBron 9s below, in our newest edition of Top Shelf.
