Nicki Minaj Divulges A Very NSFW Bar For Stephen Colbert — And He Was Not Ready

Stephen Colbert invited Nicki Minaj to The Late Show and the results are legendary. During their sit down, Colbert asked the Queen rapper about her viral sensation “Barbie Dreams” and dropping satirical lines about artists like Drake and Quavo wanting to get with her. However, when the late-night host asked why his name wasn’t mentioned, the show adorably went off the rails.

“I might fuck Stephen after the show / He gon’ come back to work with a magical glow,” Nicki rapped back in response. Stephen was predictably caught off guard and couldn’t stop laughing. At one point, Nicki had to ask the blushing comedian if he was married. She then followed up her previous bars by rapping, “But when you see us please don’t fucking stare / Just address me as Queen Nicki Colbert.”

Later in the talk, she shared that only two rappers seemed to have a problem with their mention in “Barbie Dreams.” Although, she didn’t reveal the names of the rappers.

In a Rolling Stone interview, Nicki’s engineer Aubry “Big Juice” Delaine shared that the Biggie interpolating song was created primarily in one take.

“She told me to load up that beat, put it on loop, and give her about 20 or 30 minutes,” Delaine explained. “Then she goes in the booth and lays that shit down, and that’s what you got. I didn’t know what she was gonna say. I wanna say she did 90 percent of that in one take. She mumbled the hook when she was laying the verses, laid the rest of it, went back and put the hook in the middle. When I heard it — ‘this is incredible.’”

Make sure to catch Nicki when she performs at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. Wonder if any of the guys she name dropped on “Barbie Dreams” will be there.

Jaden Smith Has A Very Important BROCKHAMPTON Update For You

Last week, BROCKHAMPTON dropped a lookbook for a fresh line of SS18 merch and formally announced that they signed a record deal with RCA. Coming off of those exciting developments, the boy band has offered a preview of material off their fourth album PUPPY in a short clip titled “LET’S GET MARRIED.”

The video features Jaden Smith, who recently dubbed himself as a new member of the group in a text with BROCKHAMPTON leader Kevin Abstract. (A few months ago, Jaden also flexed his acting talents by co-starring in Harry Hudson’s short film Can Cowboys Cry.) There’s really not much to the clip: Jaden stands alone in a parking garage and unenthusiastically introduces himself before announcing that BROCKHAMPTON is on the RCA roster… but I feel like Jaden Smith announcing personal life updates is an unexplored marketing opportunity I would gladly pay money for.

According to Romil, the snippet of the song that plays during the last 10 seconds of the video was created about 10 minutes before they released it. The track also features Ryan Beatty on vocals. Kevin recently tweeted that the concept for PUPPY is to “bring back the feeling of running around public pools tryna impress someone u thought was hot and Ciara was playing super loud!”

BROCKHAMPTON’s new line of merch will be available to purchase from their webstore today starting at 12pm ET. PUPPY is expected for release this summer and my body is 100% ready for it. In the meantime, revisit BROCKHAMPTON’s insane performance of “BOOGIE” on TRL.

Cardi B Proudly Reveals Her Album Is Dropping Very Soon

Last night (March 11), Cardi B proved once again that her charisma could take over any award show she goes too. Cardi started the iHeartRadio Music Awards off with a performance of “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi” before walking away with the Best New Artist award. During her speech, she gave fans an update on when they can expect her long-awaited debut.

“My album will be coming in April,” said Cardi. “Yes, sir, April. Stay tuned, motherfuckers.”

The “Motorsport” star also took time out of her acceptance speech to thank her publicist, label, and fiancé Offset. However, it wouldn’t be a Cardi speech without a little bit of bite for her detractors.

“I want to thank my fans, Bardi Gang, because even when I’m wrong, they be like, ‘She’s still right,’” said Cardi. “I want to thank my haters too, because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it, but it benefits me.”

In a Beats 1 Radio interview with Julie Adenuga, the “Finesse” rapper described why she will always rap about her haters.

“I’m always gonna talk about them because I hate them,” said Cardi. “I hate y’all. I wish y’all catch something. … I’m not too cool to tell your fucking ass something. Like, how your fucking square ass is gonna talk about me?”

Guess we’ll have to wait until April to see what the anti-Cardi brigade has to say about an entire album of slander.

Aleali May’s Air Jordan 1 Pop-Up at Undefeated Was Very LA

Over the weekend, for the exclusive release of her Air Jordan 1 at Undefeated, Aleali May saw her designer dreams come to life. Her highly coveted collaboration with Jordan Brand is a towering success, and she shared it with the city of Los Angeles in a very intimate and extremely nostalgic way.

Tracing back to her youth and that of many others who grew up in LA’s inner city, Undefeated repurposed its brick and mortar on South La Brea Ave. in ode to the famous Slauson Swap Meet. From the bright-colored signage out front to the well placed wall displays, the pop-up ventured back decades to re-create a theme that helped shape May’s adoring yet edgy aesthetic. And the city came out in support of her efforts, lining up in droves for hours on end with hopes to secure the mixed material Air Jordan 1 brimming in corduroy, satin and chenille. They also caught a glimpse of a few celebs in the process.

Take an inside look at Aleali May’s Air Jordan 1 x Undefeated pop-up shop below and let us know where you rank this shoe among your best of 2017.

Michael Jordan’s Wife Has Some Very Rare Air Jordan 1’s

Anyone is Michael Jordan‘s immediate family is particularly privy to Air Jordans of all types. His wife, Yvette Jordan, probably has the best access of all. That notion is proven today when she debuted a one-of-one Air Jordan 1 “Banned” wedge custom.

SoleFly, a shop owned by Yvette’s brother, teased the image of Mrs. Jordan in the shoe which highlights wedge tooling similar to the Nike Dunk Sky Hi silhouette. Jordan Brand hasn’t much tinkered with this build on their sneakers, but it seems that what Yvette Jordan wants, Yvette Jordan gets.

What do you think of this take on the Air Jordan 1? Grab a better look below and share your thoughts.

LeBron James Announces Nike Air Zoom Generation Retro is Coming “Very Soon”

Oh, it’s on now. With retro Jordans dropping every weekend and adidas continuing their momentum with Yeezy Boosts, Nike is making some MAJOR noise with the official announcement of the Nike LeBron James retro line via the man himself. Using The Uninterrupted, King James confirmed what had leaked previously in the day, that his ‘holy grail’ Nike Air Zoom Generation will return in the famed “First Game” colorway.

Scheduled to return ‘very soon’ according to #23, the rare and requested colorway from the high school standout will be the first retro release from his famed and still active line. The announcement comes from LeBron in Sacramento, the location of his professional debut.

While the release could come in a few weeks or even a few days, smart money would bet these would drop on the SNKRS app as a quickstrike, but hey’s that just an educated guess. For the time being, let us know your hopes and expectations from the Nike LeBron retro line in the comments. Also, check out the announcement monologue from LeBron as well as “First Game” AZG video content from the NK vault as well as from GQ‘s Grails series below.
