Fans Think Nicki Minaj Is Dating Eminem After Her ‘Big Banks’ Verse

Nicki Minaj loves her punchlines, and her latest one is either an expert troll or… yeah, it has to be trolling. Today (May 25), YG released “Big Banks” featuring Minaj, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. The subject matter of the Mustard-produced song is all there in the title, but it’s Nicki who goes slightly off topic. During her verse, she spits, “Back to back Maybach, stack the Ms / Told ‘em I met Slim Shady, bag the M / Once he go black, he’ll be back again.”

When a fan asked Nicki on Instagram if she was dating Eminem, she replied with a simple, “Yes.” However, the Queens rapper is known to joke around with her fans, especially on social media.

Could a Nicki and Em union potentially work? In an infamous 2017 Vulture interview, Eminem shared that he was on Tinder and discussed how the dating world is treating him.

“It’s tough,” Mathers said. “Since my divorce I’ve had a few dates and nothing’s panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public. Dating’s just not where I’m at lately.”

The Barbz have had a particularly stressful week after the “Chun-Li” rapper announced she was pushing back her album Queen. Depending on how much you ship Slim Shady and Minaj, this is great news.

Kanye West References His Opioid Addiction (And The Sunken Place) On New Verse

With every erratic new bit of information from Kanye West these days, there’s still the hope (however faint it may be at this point) that he’ll release a new song that can magically reset the clock to before we entered this darkest timeline. On Friday (May 4), Kanye offered up what might be that via a guest verse on “Watch,” a new Travis Scott track also featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

What’s most notable about ‘Ye’s verse here is that he uses his platform to rebuff the folks who’ve recently joked that his behavior as of late means that he’s trapped in the “Sunken Place,” that dreaded hellscape void from Jordan Peele’s Oscar-nominated 2017 film Get Out.

“One year it’s Illuminati, next year it’s the Sunken Place / They don’t want me to change, nah, n—a run in place,” Kanye raps, right after he also addresses his apparent opioid addiction, which he brought up this week in a controversial interview with TMZ.

Wanna know how I feel? Step into my minefield
Wanna know how pain feels? I got off my main pills
Bet my wifey stay close, she know I’m on my Bezos
Opioid addiction, pharmacy’s the real trap

For the record, Kanye’s verse takes up about a minute of the song’s 3:37 runtime, and “Watch” also features great contributions from Scott and Uzi. And at the end, you can hear what sounds a lot like Kylie Jenner’s voice repeating the hook and adding her own bar: “And I told him I wanted to have a bust down baby.”

Maybe in the future, we’ll get a sample of Stormi Webster’s baby voice on a Scott track — her very own Blue Ivy freestyle. Until then, and until Kanye’s next project drops potentially in June, check out “Watch” above.

Tyler, The Creator Lets Frank Ocean Know He’s ‘Running Shit’ On ‘Bring It Back’ Verse

Tyler, the Creator has been in a giving mood. In March, he dropped “OKRA” and gave props to Valee after being influenced by his style. Last night (April 11), Tyler decided to show love to Trouble, Drake, and Mike Will Made It by adding a verse to “Bring It Back.”

Over the unorthodox beat, Tyler’s pitched-up voice raps about his lucrative shoe deal with Converse, flexes about his Casio watch, and the importance of investing in stocks. The Golf Wang businessman also finds time to shout-out two of his R&B friends, mentors, and inspirations. Towards the middle of his verse, he lets Solange and Frank Ocean know an important message — “Shout out Solo that’s big sis / Shout out Frankie that’s big bro / Ya lil’ homie running shit no question.”

Before the release of the song, Tyler took to Twitter to describe how the track came together.

“travis ( taco) played me this song last week and the pocket of the snare and kick drum had me like wow,” Tyler wrote. “then i heard the guy rap, trouble is his name, and i was like wow i love this song. i face timed mike will and was like wow this song, and he sent the instrumental and i was like bet, this will be fun.”

What is the next beat Tyler, the Creator should demolish?
