Rae Sremmurd Talk SR3MM On TRL

Fresh off the release of the highly anticipated album SR3MM, Rae Sremmurd dropped into the TRL studio to hang with Sway Calloway. Slim Jxmmi rolled through with a bag full of cash that he proceeded to stack—and spill—everywhere… the only rain up in Times Square was money! As for Swae Lee, he was all business as he spoke about the experience of collaborating with Pharrell on their track “Chanel.”

Naturally, the brothers had some prime advice to share with their fans on how to flex on your ex as well. Trust me, you’ll definitely want to take notes from this segment! See exactly what Rae Sremmurd had to say in the video below. TRL airs on weekdays at 8:00am ET.

Kanye West Returned To Social Media To Talk About Tattoos, Shoes, And Consciousness

On Friday (April 13), Kanye West made his miraculous return to Twitter. Last May, Kanye deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts, but re-activated the latter as part of Kim Kardashian’s Valentine’s Day gift. Over the weekend, Kanye made sure his tweets covered a wide range of topics including, tattoo ideas and his favorite Saint Pablo merch. However, he also started to show off the inspiration behind various models of his Yeezy sneaker line.

The reasoning behind this might come from a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where Kanye sat down with interior designer Axel Vervoordt. During the discussion, Kanye admits to being upset after multiple publications describe Virgil Abloh — recently appointed to Louis Vuitton’s menswear artistic director — as his creative director, instead of creative collaborator.

“It’s not bad or good, it’s my creative collaborator being the head of Louis Vuitton,” Kanye said. “Because [Abloh and I] have been fighting to make apparel at a certain price that still has the same credibility and desirability as something at a higher price…But when they say he was my creative director, that’s incorrect. He was a creative collaborator.”

Later in the discussion, The Life of Pablo-artist shares his ultimate goal with his fashion line.

“At Adidas, I have Yeezy, but it’s a namesake brand,” West continued. “It’s my nickname. We do these sneakers that sell out and we get, ‘Oh, this is the number one brand on Women’s Wear Daily.’ And I don’t wish to be number one anymore, I wish to be water. I wish to be closer to UNICEF or something where I can take the information that I have and help as many people as possible, not to just shove it into a brand”

Hopefully, Kanye will start getting the credit he deserves and keeps dropping mental jewels on Twitter.

Migos And Drake Prove The Soul Train Line Is Forever In ‘Walk It Talk It’ Video

Migos are becoming the undisputed kings of hip-hop music videos. Between the kung fu movie-inspired “Stir Fry” and Offset and Ric Flair’s opulent masterpiece “Ric Flair Drip,” the Atlanta trio is proving they are a cinematic force to be reckoned with in 2018. Yesterday (March 18), Migos decided to pay homage to the 1970s with the visual for “Walk It Talk It” featuring Drake.

The Daps and Quavo-directed music video honors the legendary television show Soul Train. Between the expertly crafted afros, Drake’s dripping Jheri curl, and the famous Soul Train line, “Walk It Talk It” is proof that ’70s style never dies. Fans are even treated to Offset’s rare pop lockin’ moves.

Migos has a history of hilarious music videos. In a recent MTV News interview, director Sing J. Lee touched upon how funny Migos were on set for the “Stir Fry” video.

“When we were doing take after take … the whole set was cracking up,” said Lee. “Me and the label were discussing that actually — you know what, we probably have some really funny moments, amazing moments, and we should definitely use them and roll them at the end like the Rush Hour bloopers or the Jackie Chan movies.”

So far this year, Migos have become martial arts masters, wrestling demigods, and disco superstars. Hopefully, the next frontier for Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff has something to do with cowboys or aliens or taking down the mad titan Thanos. Marvel, give Migos a call.

Ben Simmons Will Meet With Adidas & Nike This Week To Talk Shoe Deal

words // Nick DePaula:

Top NBA draft prospect Ben Simmons is looking to sign a shoe before the league’s annual draft lottery event on May 17th, when teams have their selection order slotted, and he’s meeting with both adidas and Nike this week to begin endorsement contract negotiations.

Simmons and his agent Rich Paul will meet with adidas later today in Los Angeles, then meet with Nike over the weekend. Paul’s agency Klutch Sports Group will then likely continue negotiations into early next week, and look to make a decision on Simmons’ shoe deal before next weekend.

Neither brand is believed to be offering a signature shoe, but would create custom PEs of their newest statement level models in Simmons’ team colors. Since turning pro, Ben has been seen rotating between both Nike and adidas sneakers in workouts and off-court appearances.

TK & Cash Talk Personal Style & PUMA Favorites

Hip-hop duo TK & Cash are yet another act rising out of red-hot Atlanta. While the two young MCs cite Juelz Santana and various artists from that era as style influences growing up, they continue to find their own look as they evolve their own sound. Recently getting laced in new releases from the PUMA Lab at Foot Locker, we caught up with TK & Cash to hear about what they’re rocking these days.

Nice Kicks: How would you describe your personal style?
TK: Casual one day, then the next day I “turn up with my gear” meaning whatever I’m in, that’s how I dress.
Cash: One day I may feel like wearing the hottest kicks, one day I feel like boots, skinny jeans and a wife beater. I keep it plain and simple.

Nice Kicks: What goes into picking out an outfit for a video or a performance?
Cash: I love to wear all black or all white, but I always stay fresh.
TK: The feel of record determines the outfit, also the type of venue we are rocking!

Nice Kicks: How would you say your personal style reflects your sound?
TK & Cash: We make everyday relatable music and our style reflects that. People feel the way we dress and relate to our music. We set trends through the sound and the visuals come after.

Nice Kicks: Growing up, who were your biggest style influences?
Cash & TK: Juelz Santana and a lot of hip hop artist from early 2000. Now we stay true to us.

Nice Kicks: What stands out about the PUMA gear you’re currently rocking?
Cash: Shoes wise, they have the look of a running shoe but they can be rocked casually as well. Love the multi purpose.
TK: The t-shirt has that world famous logo, and a crazy color scheme. The texture of the design shows great quality too.

Nice Kicks: What makes these PUMA sneakers a good expression of your style?
TK & Cash: It’s everyday lifestyle gear just like our music. It fits so many different types of people but it stays true to PUMA, just like we stay true to us and our fans.

Get these looks and more from the PUMA Lab at Foot Locker.
