Sean Wotherspoon Debuts Nike Air Skylon 2 Retro

Encapsulated Air might be getting its just due — or perhaps more — in the near future with the return of the Nike Air Skylon 2.

Debuted in on-foot fashion on IG by Sean Wotherspoon, the retro runner that could pass for a Jerry Seinfeld PE sees gradient graphic and nostalgic font paying homage to the sleeper silo rumored to be redressed soon by Jerry Lorenzo.

While release details are far from firm yet alone known, this summer would be a good bet for the Nike Air Skylon 2 to relaunch. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for updates.

Roc-A-Fella x Nike Air Force 1 Set to Retro in 2017

If you were a fan of Roc-A-Fella records, you knew white/white Air Force 1’s were synonymous with the label, its artists, as well as owners Jay-Z, Dame Dash, and Biggs. So much so, the crew was known for wearing their “uptowns” just once before donating them and buying a new crispy pair. In 2000, Nike paid respects and together designed a highly coveted AF1 for the influential record label with its logo embroidered on the heel and featured on the tongue tab. Thirteen years later, a retro is finally on the way.

Set to launch during ComplexCon to celebrate the 35th anniversary of AF1, Nice Kicks can confirm the Roc-A-Fella x Nike Air Force 1 2017 retro will be identical to its original make. The colorway will be white/white, logos on the heel, tongue, and insole. Quantities will be limited.

Timing couldn’t be more perfect as Jay-Z recently released his 13th studio album entitled 4:44 and fans are desperately begging for a Roc-A-Fella reunion tour. Could this retro sneaker be a clue as to what’s to come in the future? We can only hope.

Founded in 1995 by Jay-Z, Dame Dash, and Biggs, Roc-A-Fella records started as a place to house the album Reasonable Doubt as a result of other major labels turning it down. The Roc would eventually become powerhouse in music, fashion, and culture with a roster that included stars Cam’ron, The Diplomats, Kanye West, Freeway, Young Gunz, & Beanie Sigel.

LeBron James Announces Nike Air Zoom Generation Retro is Coming “Very Soon”

Oh, it’s on now. With retro Jordans dropping every weekend and adidas continuing their momentum with Yeezy Boosts, Nike is making some MAJOR noise with the official announcement of the Nike LeBron James retro line via the man himself. Using The Uninterrupted, King James confirmed what had leaked previously in the day, that his ‘holy grail’ Nike Air Zoom Generation will return in the famed “First Game” colorway.

Scheduled to return ‘very soon’ according to #23, the rare and requested colorway from the high school standout will be the first retro release from his famed and still active line. The announcement comes from LeBron in Sacramento, the location of his professional debut.

While the release could come in a few weeks or even a few days, smart money would bet these would drop on the SNKRS app as a quickstrike, but hey’s that just an educated guess. For the time being, let us know your hopes and expectations from the Nike LeBron retro line in the comments. Also, check out the announcement monologue from LeBron as well as “First Game” AZG video content from the NK vault as well as from GQ‘s Grails series below.

Nike Air Force 1 “Linen” Retro Releases This Week Exclusively at Kith

Originally released back in 2001 and widely revered among the best Air Force 1 colorways in the silhouette’s decorated history, the “Linen” returns this week at one key retailer.

Just a few minutes ago, Ronnie Fieg announced that Kith would release the 2016 Nike Air Force 1 “Linen” retro this week as a global exclusive. It’s unclear how many pairs will be available or what the retail cost will be, but considering the demand for a grail of this stature, don’t expect the supply to be anything close to a general release.

There have also been rumors that a limited run of 50 pairs will release in Miami for Art Basel this week. This, of course, could be a part of a Kith Miami pop-up shop, but no details have been confirmed at this time. Stay tuned to Nice Kicks for more.

Consisting of four famous silhouettes, Adidas makes available the Stan Smith, GS, Natase Master and the previously less accessible, gold Forest Hill. Nike Zoom Spiridon Finally Scheduled for Retro Release

2016 is shaping up to be a year of many first. Nike adds to that notion by bringing back a gem from 1997 that purists have been waiting on for a very, very long time.

The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon is finally, excitedly, on the comeback trail for the first time since a brief run in 2005. According to the NikeBlog, the shoe is set to return this year and will officially be titled the Nike Zoom Spiridon 2016. That said, the cult classic likely won’t return in original form, but a new variation closely influenced by the original. But even that is just speculation at this point.

No images of the 2016 version are available at this time (older pair shown above). But keep it locked to Nice Kicks for all the latest updates.

Is the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” with Nike Air the Best Retro of 2015?

Although last year saw the Air Jordan 6 return in light of its 23rd anniversary, even with the Black/Infrared release last Black Friday many consider the silhouette’s next release to be the best of the last 15 months.

Fully equipped with Nike Air branding in customary position at the heel, the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” returns on December 5. A retro release that has Jordan purists salivating, the shoe’s simplistic nature and remastered touch evokes a rise from not only Air Jordan 6 aficionados, but OG sneaker fans in general.

Calendar the Jordan Release Date referenced above and let us know if you think the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” with Nike Air is the best Jordan Brand retro of 2015.

Top Shelf // “University of Oregon” Air Jordan Retro 4

words & images // Nick DePaula:

While these days he doesn’t color up too many of the original Jordans that he famously created long ago, former Oregon Duck student-athlete Tinker Hatfield took the reigns on styling this pair of Air Jordan IVs made just for the U of O football team in 2012.

A longtime season ticket holder at Autzen Stadium, for more than thirty years Tinker would make the 90-minute drive south on I-5 to attend Ducks games with his best friend Doug McClain and their wives. After Doug unfortunately passed away earlier in 2012, Tinker was compelled to create a commemorative sneaker that would not only serve as a collectible keepsake for the team’s current football players, but also pay tribute to his childhood friend.

Check out the Oregon Ducks-exclusive Air Jordan Retro 4 in detail below, and be on the lookout for more features of some top shelf sneakers on the way.
