The Nike Kyrie 2 “Parade” May Release at Retail

Remember that unreleased Nike Kyrie 2 Irving wore during the Cavs championship parade? Well, the pair has been spotted before Kyrie’s foot meaning they could be releasing at retail in the near future.

Aptly titled the Nike Kyrie 2 “Parade”, the shoe highlights a glossy floral strap atop a clean white baselayer. Glowing Volt branding hits the tongue while a black backing balances the look at the heel.

Nike has yet to announce plans for a championship Nike Kyrie 2, and this likely isn’t that shoe. But it could be the start of drops ending with a crowning championship release for Irving.

visvim founder & designer Hiroki Nakamura has recently been quoted in CODE Magazine about his hopes to open a second hand store next year, saying “…This is the first time I’m telling anyone this. The idea is somehow to buy back and resell, buy back and resell…so, like, then my scene is complete. It will probably happen in 2012”.

visvim as a company is dedicated to earth-friendly practices, so this offbeat retail store idea, while somewhat surprising in concept, actually makes sense in the whole visvim ‘big picture’. With a focus on obtaining old product from the brand and again putting them back on the market, the idea is both compelling and exciting considering how hard it is to get a pair of visvim shoes as is.

The ASICS Gel Lyte III Vegetable Tanned Leather Will Retail for $500

ASICS is working with luxury materials in their latest release, adoring its time-honored Gel Lyte III is vegetable tanned leather. This, however, is nothing new in the world of sneakers. Vegetable tanned leather is most widely known in the luxury realm by way of Hender Scheme – although their shoes feature wooden soles. ASICS maintains their foundational GEL cushioning underneath an entirely leather constructed upper, ensuring that while opulence engulfs the base comfort still remains a focal point down below. But with premium products comes a premium price, which is why the ASICS Gel Lyte III Vegetable Tanned Leather retails for $ 500. Limited to 300 pairs total, stay tuned for more details on this forthcoming release.
