Under Armour is Treating Oakland to Exclusive Curry 5s at “Steph VR” Pop-Up

Continuing to honor Stephen Curry’s third NBA championship, Under Armour is releasing two different exclusive iterations of the Curry 5 along with six versions of the Curry 4 Low at a pop-up shop in Oakland this week.

The two new versions of the Curry 5 come in a “Copper/Black” and “White/White” colorway. The “Copper/Black” iteration is inspired by Curry’s college tradition of dropping a penny in a bucket every day. The “White/White” version is appropriately named as it’s white throughout and has a gum outsole.

The six iterations of the Curry 4 Low are inspired by the Warriors All-Star’s love for candy as each version is a vibrant colorway like tonal blue, greenred, purple, orange, and yellow. All six versions also have gold detailing at the heel and corresponding matching laces with gold tips.

Besides for the new versions of the Curry 5 and Curry 4 Low, the pop-up will also feature a cinematic VR experience, which artistically celebrates Curry’s third championship.

Opening this weekend at 1500 Broadway in Oakland, the Under Armour pop-up will be open on Tuesday, June 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST and on Wednesday, June 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST.

Justin Timberlake Releasing Air Jordan 3s at NYC Pop-Up Shop

Justin Timberlake, in celebration of his latest studio album, Man of the Woods, is set to host a menswear-specific pop-up shop in New York City this weekend. It’ll be there where fans of his Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan 3 “JTH” will have a second chance to cop the coveted sneaker.

First released this past Sunday just after his Super Bowl 52 halftime performance on Nike SNKRS, the shoe will release again, this time alongside the Air Jordan 3 “Tinker Hatfield” as one part of an elevated merch offering where each song from his new album features a collaboration. The song “Higher Higher” is reserved for both Air Jordan 3s, while other collaborations with Heron Preston, Levis, Pendleton and Warby Parker will also be available.

Timberlake, to his credit, is not just restocking his own collaboration, but releasing the “Tinker” 3s before they officially launch on March 24. So you can expect the hype surrounding this pop-up to be pretty heavy indeed.

Timberlake’s pop-up shop will take place in NYC on February 9. Exact details on the location have not been disclosed at this time. Stay tuned for more.

Aleali May’s Air Jordan 1 Pop-Up at Undefeated Was Very LA

Over the weekend, for the exclusive release of her Air Jordan 1 at Undefeated, Aleali May saw her designer dreams come to life. Her highly coveted collaboration with Jordan Brand is a towering success, and she shared it with the city of Los Angeles in a very intimate and extremely nostalgic way.

Tracing back to her youth and that of many others who grew up in LA’s inner city, Undefeated repurposed its brick and mortar on South La Brea Ave. in ode to the famous Slauson Swap Meet. From the bright-colored signage out front to the well placed wall displays, the pop-up ventured back decades to re-create a theme that helped shape May’s adoring yet edgy aesthetic. And the city came out in support of her efforts, lining up in droves for hours on end with hopes to secure the mixed material Air Jordan 1 brimming in corduroy, satin and chenille. They also caught a glimpse of a few celebs in the process.

Take an inside look at Aleali May’s Air Jordan 1 x Undefeated pop-up shop below and let us know where you rank this shoe among your best of 2017.

Concepts x ASICS Team Up to Release Gel Respector Silhouette at Miami Pop-Up Shop

With the holiday season in full swing plenty of notable brands are beginning to collaborate in order to capture the retail rush that comes along with the time of the year. Two brands in particular are set to collaborate this weekend as Concepts and ASICS are opening up “Pop-Up” Shop in Miami to commemorate the re-release of the ASICS Gel Respector model. This 90s styled silhouette draws cues from the 1980s themed Miami lifestyle, full of eccentric hues and captivating style.

Nonetheless, this silhouette features premium suede throughout the upper that is canvased in shades of green, along with featuring a gum outsole and an embossed logo. Each sneaker will be packaged in a limited edition Concepts box, featuring a bill print with Concepts currency strap.

The collaboration will release this Friday, December 5th both in-store and online; in addition to the aforementioned “pop-up” location.
