Nike LeBron Soldier 12 Debuts for Playoffs

This spring you won’t find LeBron James doing it for the ‘gram. Nope, everything he’s doing is for the ‘ship. The Nike LeBron Soldier 12 sees the King’s second signature series continuing its postseason positioning while playing to #23’s social media absence.

Debuting in the triple-black “Dark 23” colorway, it is uncertain when LeBron will lace them given the excitement surrounding his PE program — aka #LeBronWatch — that while remiss at retail is still seeing dope do-ups like his recent BB4 homage.

Still, the Soldier series has never been all about ‘Bron as the next generation has always worn and informed the line. Using feedback from amateur and professional players alike, the postseason driven Soldier 12 is all about stripped-down toughness.

“The Soldier was always meant to be stripped down in the best possible way,” Jason Petrie told Nike SNKRS. “Even early on, LeBron’s insight was that the playoffs and the regular season are different. The Soldier has always been about toughness and connecting to the playoffs, in particular.”

The result is a focused piece of footwear built around aspects of the LeBron 15 like a circular knit upper and protective heel and toe caps, bolstered by a wider range of Velcro for more malleable lockdown and uniquely shaped Zoom Air units for lightweight bounce and court feel.

Look for the Nike LeBron Soldier 12 “Dark 23” to drop on April 25 for $ 140. Peep detailed shots of the shoe and design process below.

Every Kicks On Court Worn By LeBron James In The 2017 NBA Playoffs

words // Nick DePaula:

Since falling to a now infamous 1-3 deficit in last year’s NBA Finals, LeBron James has been on an absolute tear during the Playoffs in leading the Cavaliers franchise to a third consecutive NBA Finals.

After debuting the Zoom Soldier 11 the opening day of the Playoffs, LeBron has opted to stick with his 14th signature model for every game of the Eastern Conference playoffs since, donning a new PE on a nightly basis. Whether it was ‘Flip The Switch’ static-Swooshed iterations, a Marty McFly-inspired pair or even more subtle navy makeups, he’s had no shortage of pairs at his disposal along the way. Since the start of the NBA Finals, James has been switching between the LeBron 14 and Zoom Soldier 14.

Check out each of LeBron’s Kicks On Court throughout the 2017 NBA Playoffs, and stay tuned for continual updates as James looks to advance to a seventh consecutive NBA Finals appearance.

The Nike LeBron 13 Elite Will Accompany LeBron James in the Playoffs

As with tradition, an enhanced version of LeBron James’ signature silhouette is revealed in anticipation of the postseason. James, on a five-year NBA Finals run, will try to make it six in the Nike LeBron 13 Elite.

Earlier this month we took a first look at the style in an introductory red colorway. Now, black and white variations have emerged – all with releases dates scheduled for April and May.

Opting for a durable Kurim cage and two additional Zoom Air units, the refined LeBron 13 Elite also incorporates an enlarged carbon fiber plate while the silhouette itself offers a snug bootie for increased lockdown and stability.

Complex is reporting that the red colorway will drop first on April 14, adjoined by the white colorway on May 5 and finally the black colorway on May 26.
