Pharrell Williams and his brand BBC have cooked up yet another collaborative diffusion label with American designer Mark McNairy. The profound mutual respect for one another will manifest itself over a brand known simply as BBC Black. Aptly chosen in its name, the #allblackeverything formula will embrace a certain degree of technicality over traditional streetwear silhouettes. The line will be available starting this fall but for the time being, check out GQ’s video involving the two personalities as they discuss the line and their own personal relationship.

The Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, CA provides an art studio environment for adult creatives living with mental, physical, and developmental disabilities. It seems fitting then, that Pharrell Williams’ i am OTHER would have done well to support this project, given the channel’s dedication to celebrating and embracing difference between people. In this short clip, Pharrell sheds light on the Creative Growth Art Center, the issue inherent in pubic perception of art, and why Cheryll Dunn’s new webisode series with i am OTHER is so important. Enjoy the clip above and check out Creative Growth’s website for additional information.

The iconic producer gives a dreamlike recount of approaching the group (who he casually refers to as ‘the Robots’), flying to Paris to exchange recent work, and ultimately, finding the creative synergy that led to the creation of the song. Pharrell states things eloquently in his own unique, poetic way, in turn creating more hype for what will surely be one of the crowning jewels of 2013. Random Access Memories is expected to release in the U.S. on May 21.
