Air Jordan 7 Low Pack Takes Flight Next Week

At first thought, an Air Jordan 7 Low doesn’t sound like the best idea. However, in execution, the shoe itself isn’t nearly as bad as the initial thought of it.

With the help of a classic Air Jordan 7 colorway and two other styles that ring true in the Jordan Brand lineage — Concord and Taxi — the rollout of the 7 Low couldn’t have been more strategic. This marks a more favorable outcome than when the shoe was first unveiled ten years ago, in 2008.

Only seen and not released back then, it took a full decade for this idea and subsequent execution to come into full view. Look for the Air Jordan 7 Low Pack featuring the “Bordeaux,” “Bright Concord” and “Taxi” on September 27 via Nike SNKRS at 10am EDT.

A slighter lesser version of the widely beloved Air Jordan 11 Low, the IE serves an alternate purpose removed from patent leather and the glossy finish of the Air Jordan 11 proper. Here, traditional leather coupled with elephant printed overlays evoke contrasting emotion heightened by striking fluorescents.

Releasing in three summer centric colorways –Crimson Flash, Volt and Rio Teal — this hyper tonal collection breathes new life into the 11 Low IE which is often sidelined when compared to its more traditional counterpart. Vans “Pop Camo” Pack // Available Now

Children of the ’90s can attribute unconventional camo to the likes of New Orleans hip-hop artists and pro wrestling stars, while those born later would attribute it to BAPE or even more recently VLONE. Influencing new releases from Nike, the trend takes to the skate category on the latest Vans pack.

Hooking up the Old Skool, Authentic and Sk8-Hi in bold camo prints set to orange, purple and blue. The executions come as expected, adding topical pop to legitimate classics.

Pairs are available now at Vans.

The Vans Deconstructed “Inside Out” Pack is Already Selling Out

Even before “The Ten” collaboration with Nike released last year, there were rumors that Chicago-native and now Louis Vuitton designer, Virgil Abloh, was working with Vans. The partnership was never official or spoken upon in a true public forum. It was just something that reverberated within sneaker culture, sticking where it could but ultimately falling flat.

Although the collaboration never truly came to pass, Abloh’s design genius left a lasting impact on Vans. Their newly released “Inside Out” pack is uniquely tied to the deconstructing nature of “The Ten,” breaking down the gloss of sneakers and exposing its inner most dynamics through a sartorial lens. From misplaced components to exposed details, the pack — which features both the Sk8-Hi and Slip-On — not only takes generously from Virgil’s creations, but in its own brilliance reworks silhouettes that best align with those concepts.

Given how visibly stimulating the Vans “Inside Out” Pack is — and considering the moderate retail cost — the earliest pairs to hit retail are already gone. Haven received and subsequently sold out of their stock. Stay tuned for more details on incoming stock at additional stores.

PUMA RS-0 “Play” Pack // Closer Look

With the reboot of its vintage running shoe, PUMA releases the latest iteration of its RS-0 line with the “Play” pack — a continuation of its exploration into cultural genres.

Inspired by the video game culture of the ’80s, the German footwear imprint, for styling versatility, utilizes translucent padded inserts and a tri-color outsole, while creating contrast with a subtly painted upper — coming in black, grey, pink and white. These motifs serve a referential purpose, as they connect to the fanfare and joy created by the retro consoles, controllers and notable characters that enchanted many enthusiasts. Final touches, like an embossed Formstrip and RS-logo on the tongue and outsole complete the offering.

Retailing at $ 100 USD, shop the collection at select retailers and PUMA’s website.
