Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” Lands This Month

Even before the widely anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple” is reported to retro for the first time in the very near future, Jordan Brand is gearing up to release another purple Air Jordan of a more traditional execution.

The Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” edition, removed from the metallic glow of its aforementioned counterpart, is scheduled to hit select retailers later this month. Another in a long line of Jordan 1s to release this year, the “Court Purple” utilizes traditional tumbled leather fabrication alongside customary branding in proper placing. It’s said to release in tandem with a “Pine Green” colorway of a similar aesthetic makeup.

Fans of the Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” can expect pairs in stores on September 22 for $ 160 USD.

Nike Air Max 1 SE “Tartan” Lands This Fall

Closing in on cooler climate come fall, Nike preps its Air Max 1 with prints that transition well into the season ahead. Labeled with the brands telling Special Edition moniker, a fitting tartan print covers the late ’80s style for autumn.

Traditionally felt through its black suede onset, the tenured fashion print marks the shoes forefoot, tongue and ankle collar. Glossy tongue branding adds a different dynamic to the overt design which comes to a close with a balancing white midsole.

Fans of this Nike Air Max 1 SE “Tartan” can expect pairs on September 1 at select retailers.

Bodega and New Balance are back at their old tricks with a budding NB1 998 collaboration set to release this weekend.

Nike Air Max 93 “Flame Red” Lands Overseas

This year’s Air Max 93 “Dusty Cactus” OG marked the kickoff the underrated 25th anniversary sneaker desperately needed. It’s not easy to play in a field with other, more popular Air Max models releasing almost daily in great colorways. Thus, one stellar OG begets another. And the often unseen “Flame Red” OG just popped up overseas.

Last seen in the early 2000’s, this original colorway – much like the “Dusty Cactus” – is visibly refreshed in Habanero Red and Neutral Indigo hues. The traditional white base remains customary as does the shoes black ankle collar and outsole. And although this OG isn’t nearly as beloved as the aforementioned “Dusty Cactus” or the “Bright Citrus,” that may only be because they haven’t re-released nearly as often as their counterparts.

Suppa currently has the Nike Air Max 93 “Flame Red” up for grabs. U.S. release details have not yet been announced.

ASICS Gel Lyte V “Sunset Orange” Lands Just in Time for Spring

Few retro runners are more comfortable and season appropriate than the ASICS Gel Lyte in spring. Its lightweight, slimmed frame blends with the season like few others. And when dressed in the right colors,  you often get something like this “Sunset Orange” colorway that just released.

Largely finished in a mixture of white mesh and leather, black underlays are offset by an orange strip at the paneling that odes to the shoe’s namesake. Aptly titled the ASICS Gel Lyte “Sunset Orange,” grab a pair now at Overkill.

Air Jordan 1 “Game Royal” Lands This March

After all the craziness that surprisingly surrounded the super general “Bred Toe” release, next month Jordan Brand will offer up yet another stellar Air Jordan 1 with remnants of one of the most coveted non-OG pairs to release this decade.

With color blocking that’s easily familiar to the frags, a white leather base is finished with black and royal accents that also act as an alternate to the “Chicago” OG. But will this release be as coveted as the “Bred Toe”? Well, it’s very possible. Grab a closer look at the Air Jordan 1 “Game Royal” aka “Alternate” below and expect the release on March 24.
