Event Reminder: Kick & Roll Classic 3-on-3 Basketball Event 2015

Our very own George Kiel and his nonprofit Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation’s Kick & Roll Classic 3-on-3 Basketball Event 2015 takes place tomorrow in Austin, Texas at the Round Rock Sports Center from 12 PM-6 PM. The sneaker-themed basketball tournament – sponsored by the Josh Childress Foundation – is put on to help raise awareness of the colon cancer, honor colon cancer survivors, educate the youth about the affliction, generate revenue for the Texas State University colon cancer research program, and encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle.

If you’re in the Central Texas area, don’t hesitate to stop by and check out some cool sneakers being worn on court at the Kick & Roll Classic. Below is a video recap footage last summer’s Kick & Roll Classic 3-on-3 Basketball Event event.

Kick & Roll Classic Registration Open Until July 3rd

If you missed last year’s first annual Kick & Roll Classic, that’s a bummer. An outstanding event for fans of hoops and sneakers, the second showcase is set for July 25th and there is still time to sign up — but it’s running out.

As of today, there is one week left to sign up for the 2015 Kick & Roll Classic in Round Rock, Texas. There are two ways of signing up. One, you can sign up as a team captain with your own 3-on-3 team, or two, you can sign up as an individual and our George Kiel and his Kick & Roll staff will place you on a team.

Needless to say, if you sign up it’s best you bring out some sweet sneakers. On top of that, it’s encouraged you wear some blue laces. In fact, for every pair of #BlueKnots spotted out at the 2015 Kick & Roll Classic, former Arizona star and Sneak Peek alum Miles Simon will donate $ 1.15 towards the Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation and their fight to end colon cancer.

Andre 3000, Big Boi Kick It In ATL: OutKast Reunion Looking Good

Things are starting to get real. Last week Billboard cited unnamed sources when reporting that Big Boi and Andre 3000 finally planned to reunite in 2014 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and it’s certainly beginning to seem tangible. On Monday (December 2) Big Boi took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his partner-in-rhyme, getting fans even more riled up.

“Just leaving the old Stewart Ave #unfuckwittable,” Big Boi wrote, along with a picture of the two rappers chumming it up. It’s been seven years since the duo released their last project as Outkast, but there might finally be more music coming our way soon.

They will reportedly take the stage at Coachella, which kicks off on April 11, 2014. Stay tuned.
