Air Jordan 33 Florida PE Sees First Jordan Exclusive for Gators Hoops

The Jumpman college invasion hit the SEC this fall with the introduction of the Florida Gators to their growing NCAA roster.

While the football team has donned Jordan branded jerseys and cleats in recent week, their hoops program sees its formal introduction to the family in the form of the Air Jordan 33 Florida PE.

Following team takes designed for Georgetown, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Marquette, this #Rainsville rendition opts for an icy blue outsole set beneath a royal upper and orange overlays. Green hits and logo branding on the tongue cap off this colorway that will likely only be seen on Gator feet.

Air Jordan 18 Returns in OG Wizards Tones Next Weekend

The Air Jordan 18 Black/Royal was an event for anyone old enough to be into sneakers when they released in 2003.

Worn by Michael Jordan during his final season in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, the AJ18 was as smooth and rich as Money himself. Styled in suede — only the black pair — a brush came with each set of shoes to keep them crispy clean after battle.

OG Air Jordan 18 Black/Sport Royal

While the OG White/Royal returned earlier this year in small doses to but to fast sales, we’re finally getting a Black/Blue retro for the first time ever on October 11th.

Adjusted for inflation (eye-roll), the new pair will cost $ 225 as opposed to the $ 175 they first retailed for. Still, dope to have these back. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for updated imagery.

A Detailed Look At The “Tech Pack” Air Jordan 33

words // Nick DePaula
images // KicksVision

Previewed earlier this month at Jordan Brand’s grand Los Angeles unveil of the latest game shoe, the new Air Jordan 33 will be releasing in a handful of fresh colorways new to the line. While the 31 and 32 before it drafted heavily off of their thirty-year prior predecessors, the team behind the shoe had different plans in store for the 33.

“We really wanted to look beyond, ‘This was the 1, the 2 and the 3,’” reveals designer Tate Kuerbis. “We wanted to look beyond and into the future.”

With a new innovative FastFit laceless lockdown system and a more refined and sharp approach to design, the 33 thankfully takes the brand to a more technical place, earning it a strong reaction since being unveiled. Rather than launch in an expected cement-inspired look hearkening back to the late 1980s, the 33 will be releasing later this fall in what’s been dubbed a “Tech Pack”-informed edition.

The term is short for the detailed pack of technical blueprints for a shoe that designers will compile for their factory counterparts to develop and produce a shoe — hues of red, yellow and blue help to accent a clean black and white contrasting base.

Check out the “Tech Pack” Air Jordan 33 below in detail, and let us know your thoughts on Twitter.

Air Jordan 11 Low “Snakeskin” OG Returns Next Summer

Few sneakers spark a bond with summer quite like the Air Jordan 11 Low. Originally released back in 2001, the shoe may have never been worn by Michael Jordan on-court yet they were donned by just about everyone else off of it. Next summer, one of the original colorways is set to return for the first time in over 17 years.

While several Air Jordan 11 Low “Snakeskin” styles have retroed since the shoe first released just past the turn of the century, the long-beloved navy iteration is the lone pair that hasn’t. But if rumors are to be believed, next summer that will all change.

According to several reports, the navy pair is set to drop next April. Images of the 2019 iteration have not yet been revealed. Stay tuned for additional details.

Air Jordan 4 “DeadWood” Custom Travels to the Wild-West

The Air Jordan 4 is arguably one of Tinker Hatfield’s most renown creations. Ever since its introduction, the AJ4 has transcended sports, film and music. From its appearance in Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing to being used as the silhouette for various Jordan collabs (such as those for Eminem and Travis Scott), the 4 is in a league of its own when it comes to recognition and importance to both sneaker and pop culture.

In light of that, customizer Ceeze went back in time by giving the Air Jordan 4 a Western look like never before.

The upper was reconstructed using brown alligator, black stingray and black shark to bring to life a rugged, Western look for the pair. The custom Air Jordan 4 “DeadWood” is a luxurious rendition of the Wild-West from a sneakerhead’s perspective.

Take a look at the pair below, and be sure to follow the artist here. Are you feeling these? Would you rock them? Let us know in the comments on social.

Air Jordan XXX3 Debuts FastFit Technology for Laceless Liftoff

Informed by the utility of space suits and the same speed tooling as the Nike Zoom VaporFly 4%, the Air Jordan XXX3 was officially unveiled last night in downtown Los Angeles.

While NASA know-how and race day propulsion both clear the XXX3 for takeoff, the shoe’s calling card is undoubtedly FastFit.

Debuting the latest innovation from Nike HQ, FastFit makes the Air Jordan XXX3 literally laceless for perhaps the most visually unique and performance shaping signature from the line since the shrouded stance of the Air Jordan XX8 and its FlightPlate debut.

FastFit allows wearers to tighten their shoe with the pull of the forefoot strap, creating a full 360-lockdown with no need for double knots. Just the same, when hitting the bench for a break or leaving the gym, the lockdown is released by pulling the side loops.

Look for the Air Jordan XXX3 to debut online at Jordan and at select accounts on October 18th. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for more on the model, its upcoming colorways and FastFit technology.

Air Jordan 7 Low Pack Takes Flight Next Week

At first thought, an Air Jordan 7 Low doesn’t sound like the best idea. However, in execution, the shoe itself isn’t nearly as bad as the initial thought of it.

With the help of a classic Air Jordan 7 colorway and two other styles that ring true in the Jordan Brand lineage — Concord and Taxi — the rollout of the 7 Low couldn’t have been more strategic. This marks a more favorable outcome than when the shoe was first unveiled ten years ago, in 2008.

Only seen and not released back then, it took a full decade for this idea and subsequent execution to come into full view. Look for the Air Jordan 7 Low Pack featuring the “Bordeaux,” “Bright Concord” and “Taxi” on September 27 via Nike SNKRS at 10am EDT.

Here’s When You Can Cop the Air Jordan 1 “Pine Green”

Jordan Brand’s “Best Hand in the Game” pack was rare. It’s not often four Air Jordan 1s in original construction release on the same day. But it’s becoming slightly less rare when you consider other releases like the “Gatorade” collection.

There are always standouts with releases like these. The “Best Hand” pack was largely anchored by the “Clay Green” edition, which went on to achieve solo fame like a breakout artist from a larger collective. Given that singular fame, most whiffed on the “Clay Greens,” making the upcoming “Pine Green” pair all the more desirable.

Removed from suede paneling that gave the “Clay Green” certain distinction, all leather adorns the Air Jordan 1 “Pine Green” that’s due out on September 22. Official images have leaked ahead of the aforementioned release heightening anticipation for the Celtics-like execution.

Jordan Brand’s “Court Purple” Air Jordan 1 will release on the same day.

Jim Carrey Already Has the Newly Released Don C x Jordan Legacy 312 “Black Cement”

First seen on the feet of actor Jim Carrey during an appearance on the Bill Maher show, his self-titled “Freedom Friendly Nike’s” are actually Don C‘s latest Jordan Legacy 312 colorway.

An ode to the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement,” Don’s newest iteration of his hybrid style highlights tumbled black leather alongside cement print prominently placed just above the midsole. White Swoosh branding at the medial siding, of course, doesn’t appear on the famed Air Jordan 3 but it does provide distinction to Don’s pair.

The Don C x Jordan Legacy 312 “Black Cement” released today in-store at select Foot Locker locations.

Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” Lands This Month

Even before the widely anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple” is reported to retro for the first time in the very near future, Jordan Brand is gearing up to release another purple Air Jordan of a more traditional execution.

The Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” edition, removed from the metallic glow of its aforementioned counterpart, is scheduled to hit select retailers later this month. Another in a long line of Jordan 1s to release this year, the “Court Purple” utilizes traditional tumbled leather fabrication alongside customary branding in proper placing. It’s said to release in tandem with a “Pine Green” colorway of a similar aesthetic makeup.

Fans of the Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” can expect pairs in stores on September 22 for $ 160 USD.
