Air Jordan 33 Florida PE Sees First Jordan Exclusive for Gators Hoops

The Jumpman college invasion hit the SEC this fall with the introduction of the Florida Gators to their growing NCAA roster.

While the football team has donned Jordan branded jerseys and cleats in recent week, their hoops program sees its formal introduction to the family in the form of the Air Jordan 33 Florida PE.

Following team takes designed for Georgetown, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Marquette, this #Rainsville rendition opts for an icy blue outsole set beneath a royal upper and orange overlays. Green hits and logo branding on the tongue cap off this colorway that will likely only be seen on Gator feet.

Under Armour is Treating Oakland to Exclusive Curry 5s at “Steph VR” Pop-Up

Continuing to honor Stephen Curry’s third NBA championship, Under Armour is releasing two different exclusive iterations of the Curry 5 along with six versions of the Curry 4 Low at a pop-up shop in Oakland this week.

The two new versions of the Curry 5 come in a “Copper/Black” and “White/White” colorway. The “Copper/Black” iteration is inspired by Curry’s college tradition of dropping a penny in a bucket every day. The “White/White” version is appropriately named as it’s white throughout and has a gum outsole.

The six iterations of the Curry 4 Low are inspired by the Warriors All-Star’s love for candy as each version is a vibrant colorway like tonal blue, greenred, purple, orange, and yellow. All six versions also have gold detailing at the heel and corresponding matching laces with gold tips.

Besides for the new versions of the Curry 5 and Curry 4 Low, the pop-up will also feature a cinematic VR experience, which artistically celebrates Curry’s third championship.

Opening this weekend at 1500 Broadway in Oakland, the Under Armour pop-up will be open on Tuesday, June 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST and on Wednesday, June 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST.

Exclusive // Nick Young’s “Still Swaggy” Adidas Pro Model PE

words & images // Nick DePaula:

At the start of the 2000s, the Adidas Pro Model 2G was perhaps one of the more widespread worn sneakers in the country, as the no frills $ 75 team shoe graced the feet of everyone from middle school hopeful hoopers to suburban high school squads to #1 ranked AAU players and ABCD campers like LeBron James and Lenny Cooke.

The shoe enjoyed a dominant run through the first half of the decade, showing up in simple home white colorways with team color accents, and later exploding in bold full patent leather looks. Then, they simply went away for more than a decade, as the brand tried unsuccessfully to modernize the 2G’s design a few times over, before switching gears and launching a new batch of Team Signature models towards the end of the 2000s.

After breaking out his own player exclusive pair of the Top Ten 2000 earlier in the season, the ever-stylish Nick Young became the perfect player to debut the re-make nearly twenty years after its original run and add the Pro Model 2G to his Adidas sneaker rotation.

In a clean white upper with alternating blue and yellow stripe logo hits, his size 14 pair also features his “Swaggy P” pyramid logo along the tongue, as “STILL SWAGGY” text replaces the commonly found “PRO MODEL” phrasing along the side of the shoe.

“Haven’t seen or hooped in a pair of Pro Models since AAU and high school in 2003-2004,” Young captioned on Instagram after first debuting them. “So many memories.”

Check out Swaggy P’s latest player exclusive from Adidas below, and stay tuned for more detailed looks at his batch of custom pairs for this season.

Exclusive Look At Miami’s Adidas Dame 3 PEs For March Madness

words & images // Nick DePaula:

Ever since linking up with adidas two seasons ago, the University of Miami has enjoyed an endless flow of the brand’s best products. They were one of the first schools to receive their own Ultra Boost PE, and as the Hurricanes take the floor as a #8 seed tonight in the NCAA Tournament, they’ll be doing so in a new batch of custom Dame 3s.

With graphic inspiration drafting from Doppler radar patterns during a hurricane, The U has both a white-based and green-based PE of Damian Lillard’s third signature sneaker in custom school colors. For Dame, who starred at mid-major Weber State, having his own shoe now featured on the major March Madness platform is a special feeling.

“I never made the NCAA Tournament in college, but now so many college players and teams are wearing my shoes,” says Lillard. “It’s a great feeling – I made it again.”

In addition to the custom sneakers, Miami is also wearing tournament-specific jerseys, a first for adidas. Along the inner neck, you’ll find the school’s longtime slogan, #ItsAllAboutTheU. Check out the Canes’ exclusive adidas Dame 3s below in detail, and stay tuned for more March Madness coverage all tournament.

Exclusive // Stephen Curry’s “Dubfetti” Under Armour Curry 3 Birthday PE

words & images // Nick DePaula:

For the fourth straight season, Under Armour Basketball has created a special edition sneaker for Stephen Curry to honor his March 14th birthday, building on the string of birthday cake themed sneakers that we’ve come to expect on an annual basis.

This year’s Curry 3 celebrates Stephen turning 29 today, with an even more bold and loud take on the sweet mix of sprinkles, spongecake and frosting that’ve helped to inspired his birthday shoe hues and textures along the way. In classic low-key Curry fashion, when asked earlier about his birthday wishes, Stephen said he was simply hoping to play some golf and enjoy a family dinner at Benihana.

Curry is currently taking on the 76ers on NBATV’s “Fan Night” game in his special birthday pair. With a taxi yellow Threadborne mesh upper and electric blue Anafoam along the collar and medial side, the shoe is also accented by a white synthetic overlay that features cake frosting-inspired sprinkles that seep over onto the midsole.

As we’ve seen with several other exclusives made just for Stephen this season, Under Armour gave him both a low-top and mid-cut version, as Curry has taken to wearing Lows during pre-game warmups, before lacing up the Mid for game time. Check out Stephen’s exact size 12.5 pairs of both the Under Armour Curry 3 Mid and Low, in his birthday “Dubfetti” theme edition below.
