Air Jordan 1 High Zip Debuts for Women

The newly vindicated Air Jordan 1 High Zip, one of three components that encapsulate Jordan Brand’s spring 2018 women’s collection, is undeniably the largest risk among the stellar offering. Its high arching, laceless frame, disrupts the classic tone and stance of the Air Jordan 1. Doing so in a method that promotes creativity and challenges longtime fans of the shoe to view it from a modern lens.

Removed from traditional lacing to springboard zipped closure, Jumpman branded zippers begin at the base above the toebox and extend beyond reach of the ankle collar. This allows the tongue at act as an inner cushioning system while a Nike Air tab logo on the tongue adds nostalgia to this contemporary update.

Expect the Air Jordan 1 High Zip to release on March 8 for a retail price of $ 150.

Jordan Brand Debuts Russell Westbrook’s Jordan Why Not Zer0.1

After debuting the shoe on-court last night for the very-first time, Jordan Brand today officially debuts Russell Westbrook’s inaugural on-court signature shoe — the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1.

Encapsulating both his personal style and life mantra, “Why Not,” the shoe is defined by its smooth vamp tailored to meet Russ’ dynamic game. Forefoot containment is critical as Westbrook plays high on his toes and needs maximum stability. To ensure this truth, Jordan Brand worked closely with the Thunder’s equipment manager, Wilson Taylor, as Russ would wear test the shoe and Taylor would respond back with progress reports.

Russ debuted a PE edition of the “Mirror” colorway last night, which highlights both Westbrook’s likeness and Jumpman branding. Yet it’s the “2 Wy” edition that will debut at retail as it’s a greater juxtaposition of Russ’ game-changing presence both on and off the court.

Take a look at the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 below and expect the launch on January 15 for $ 125.

Kyrie Irving Debuts Nike Kyrie 3 “Fear” PE Against Magic

For the first time this season, the Boston Celtics broke out their new Nike Statement NBA jerseys against the Orlando Magic on Friday. And quite appropriately, Celtics star Kyrie Irving made a statement with his performance and kicks as he unveiled his new Nike Kyrie 3 “Fear” PE.

Featuring a black and neon green colorway, this PE of the Kyrie 3 also features subtle graphic detailing on the upper. The neon green is featured with Irving’s signature logo on the tongue and on the outsole.

Here’s the inspiration for the shoes from @Beensmoove:

Fear is the motivator that drives us to pursue greatness. Without fear we aren’t aggressive, we aren’t focused. Fear is the reality that everything that we value and work for can disappear in an instant. It is up to us to accept that fear is real but it is what we do with fear that separates the good from the great.

The Nike Kyrie 3 “Fear” was likely created just for Irving so don’t expect them to be released anytime soon. But hopefully Irving will lace these PEs up again, especially since he had quite the game in them as he finished with 30 points, four rebounds and three assists in Boston’s 118-103 win over the Magic.

LeBron James Debuts Nike LeBron 15 “Long Live The King”

After a less than stellar start to the season, LeBron James single-handedly got his team back on track last night with a monumental 57 point performance against the Washington Wizards. James pulled this off in the “Ghost” colorway of his newly released Nike LeBron 15. But it was what he pulled out before the game that had everyone buzzing.

Nike LeBron 15 designer Jason Petrie went on record in months past and stated that along with zipped pairs of the 15, there would also be a strapped edition. James debuted the very-first pair of the latter last night.

Dressed in olive-green BattleKnit with a navy strap that snakes across the upper reading “Long Live The King,” James couldn’t have picked a more fitting night to break out his statement shoe. Grab a closer look at the Nike LeBron 15 Strap “Long Live The King” below and stay tuned for more details.

Nike Debuts Mike Trout’s All-New Zoom Trout 4 Cleat

The way Mike Trout dominates the game of baseball you wouldn’t think he’s only 25 years old. You also wouldn’t assume that the Vineland, New Jersey-born slugger has seven record-breaking seasons under his belt. Yet he is, and he does, with relative smoothness only the elite possess. His efforts are rewarded by Nike with a fourth iteration of his signature shoe – the Nike Zoom Trout 4 Trainer.

Crowned as Nike’s most complete date-informed cleat to date, the Zoom Trout 4 marks the pinnacle of performance innovation. Swoosh designers and engineers have been continually gathering personalized data based on Trout’s foot and body movements to refine his signature cleat. They also debut new technology like a budding plate structure that is directly mapped to Trout’s performance data for stability, flexibility and explosiveness.

The shoe debuts in a “Mahi Mahi” colorway, an extension of his legacy of fish-inspired cleats. Take a closer look at the Nike Zoom Trout 4 Trainer + Cleat below and pick up a pair now at Nike.

LeBron James Debuts Nike Zoom Soldier 11 // Kicks On Court

words // Nick DePaula:

In a bit of a surprise, LeBron James decided to debut his newest sneaker earlier than expected, taking the floor this afternoon for Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs in a new wine and yellow Nike Zoom Soldier 11.

The sixth straight Soldier model designed by Jason Petrie, the 11 is a slight progression of last year’s Soldier 10, once again featuring ergonomic support straps, a sleeved upper and going laceless. Apparently four straps is better than three, going by simple math.

Initially, James was expected to wear the LeBron 14 for at least the opening round of the playoffs, before switching to the Soldier later in the postseason, as we saw him do last year during his road to the first NBA title in Cavaliers franchise history. The shoe isn’t slated to release until later this summer in June, but we can expect to see LeBron wearing a variety of player exclusive editions from here on out throughout the Cavs’ playoff run.

What do you think of the latest LeBron model on court?
