Noah Cyrus And Lil Xan’s ‘Live Or Die’ Video Immortalizes Their Doomed Romance

Two weeks after Noah Cyrus and Lil Xan very publicly and messily announced their breakup, we’ve gotten an unexpected reminder of their fleeting summer fling.

See, brief as their romance was, the 18-year-old singer and 22-year-old rapper managed to be quite the productive couple, recording and releasing the mellow, synth-heavy collab “Live or Die” in August. And on Monday (September 17), they unceremoniously leaked the track’s accompanying video, which immortalizes their doomed love in one very shadowy clip.

Cyrus co-directed the vid alongside Tony Corella, and it finds Xoah in happier times; cuddling and kissing by a fireplace as a spotlight illuminates their moves. Meanwhile, they pledge their loyalty to one another by promising, “When you lay by my side / I see the whole world through your eyes / Ride or die, you and I.” Sure, it’s pretty awkward to watch now, but just pretend you’re seeing it *without* the prior knowledge of knowing these two might’ve broken up over an X-rated Charlie Puth meme.

In happier news, Noah is gearing up for the release of her debut EP, Good Cry, which arrives on September 21. Xan, meanwhile, may or may not be quitting music altogether, so cherish “Live or Die” while you can.

Lil Xan On His New Song With Noah Cyrus: ‘I Fell In Love Really Fast’

It’s an exciting time to be Noah Cyrus and Lil Xan. Just hours after dropping their first collaborative track, the couple made their red pink carpet debut at the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday night (August 20).

While speaking to MTV News before the show, Xan and Noah talked up “Live or Die,” a mellow love song that finds them promising, “When you lay by my side / I see the whole world through your eyes / Ride or die, you and I.”

“We dropped it at midnight. It’s doing terrific. It’s a romantic, love kind of song. You know, I just fell in love with this girl really fast,” Lil Xan said, while Cyrus gushed beside him.

She added, “We wrote it really quick. We wrote, like, three songs in a week, and this was the one that we decided to put out. And we love it.”

As for those other two songs, the 18-year-old pop star and 21-year-old rapper — who confirmed their relationship with some Instagram PDA at the end of July — are still deciding how they’ll be released. They insist fans will hear the tracks eventually, and, in fact, an entire joint project (credited to both “Diego and Noah,” she said) may already be in the works.

“Some will go on her album, some will go on my album,” Xan explained. “And then we’re just going to continue making great music and keep on vibing. … A three-song EP, five-song EP — we’re so down for that.”

Check out “Live or Die” below, and keep those eyes peeled for more new music from Xan and Noah (#Xanoah?) — it sounds like these lovebirds are having quite the creative streak.

Wiz Khalifa Collaborating With Miley Cyrus’ Dad?

Wiz

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

Miley Cyrus isn’t the only member of her family rubbing elbows with rappers. It seems her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, may be in the studio with none other than Wiz Khalifa.

The rapper posted a photo of himself chilling with the older Cyrus on Instagram with the caption “The Start.” Billy Ray is holding a guitar in the picture which seems to signify that he may be adding instrumentals to whatever song the two may have started. Rumors around the industry confirm that Wiz is in the studio working on his forthcoming studio album so the hypothetical track could very well be from that.

Billy Ray became a star in the 90s with his 1993 hit “Achy Breaky Heart.” Miley and the Taylor Gang head have worked together before, collaborating on will.i.am’s “Feeling Myself” as well as Mike Will Made It’s “23.”
