Revenue for Adidas in the US Continues to Grow

Back in September, adidas surpassed Brand Jordan to become the No. 2 sneaker brand in America. And building on that success, adidas has reportedly continued to increase sales and revenue in North America.

Topping $ 1 billion, adidas’ revenue in North America increased by 31 percent for the quarter. Of note, e-commerce sales were up by 39 percent.

Also as part of their “Creating the New” business strategy, adidas plans to open a new office in downtown Los Angeles in 2018. This office will focus on influencer marketing and also be the home for sales, editorial and social teams.

“We really want to make the brand come alive using assets, events and athletes in that city,” Adidas’ Mark King said. “Opening an office downtown, and having a dedicated group to work with all of our assets and events that happen in Los Angeles, will allow us to really bring the adidas brand to life.”

adidas Continues to Develop Features for Futurecraft 3D Series

At this point the notion of adidas having a banner 2015 calendar year can seem a bit repetitive; however, it’s the opinion of many. Keeping that success going, adidas has developed new features for its Futurecraft 3D series, and this time they’re looking to implement an innovative initiative that reduces the amount of plastic pollution within the ocean due to sneaker construction.

The ideation of the shoe is that the upper is made with ocean plastic content and a 3D-printed midsole made from recycled polyester and gillnets. In addition, the adidas brand will continue to phase out the use of plastic bags in its own retail stores, with the emphasis of it being completed by Q1 of 2016. Ultimately, this a strong step for adidas as they look to make the world a better and safer environment.

Two shoes, one game, one name, LeBron James continued his intermingled wear of the Nike LeBron 11 and Nike LeBron X Elite in last night’s home win against Milwaukee. Cashing in a game-high 33 points against the Bucks, LeBron laced up a White/Red PE pair of the 11s in the first quarter before switching to the Xs prior to halftime.

While LeBron switched the style up last night, the rest of his NBA brethren kept it simple with one pair of shoes for the whole game. From Bradley Beal’s retro Jordans to a couple colorful KDs, see who wore what in this installment of Kicks On Court.
