Cardi B Flashes Her Bare Baby Bump On Dramatic Rolling Stone Cover

Baby Bardi isn’t even here yet and she’s already a cover star. On Friday evening (June 15), Cardi B surprised fans by unveiling her upcoming Rolling Stone cover, with features her fiancée Offset, a dramatic blonde wig, some serious body art, and her bare baby bump.

A version of the cover had previously leaked on the internet, but Cardi took matters into her own hands by sharing the official pic on Instagram. “I guess it was too much to ask to wait until the official July release of our @rollingstone cover!” she captioned the post. “This cover is so special to me and means so much! … My daughter made it to the Rollin Stone cover!!!!”

This is the second RS cover for both Cardi B and Offset — she previously fronted the October 2017 issue, while he was on the February 2018 issue with the rest of Migos. It is, however, the cover debut for Baby Bardi, who’s reportedly due this summer. Cardi confirmed she was pregnant while performing on Saturday Night Live back in April, giving her bump a dramatic TV debut.

The Cardi-covered issue of Rolling Stone is due to hit newsstands on July 2. Between that, her daughter’s impending arrival, her upcoming nuptials, and “I Like It” heating up the charts, it’s safe to say Cardi’s roll isn’t slowing anytime soon.

Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’ Video Features Shaved Ice And Bad Bunny Dance Moves

Can Cardi B have the song of the summer two years in a row? If “Bodak Yellow” is the reigning champ of 2017, then the release of the music video for “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin is making a claim for 2018.

The Eif Rivera-directed visual is like a Santana video married an early 2000s Sean Paul video and they stopped at a resort manned by Snoop Dogg and Pharrell’s “Beautiful.” In short, “I Like It” is fun in the way any video with random shaved iced, Cardi B rapping about eating Halal, and Bad Bunny dancing like this is his last day on Earth could be. In an interview with Billboard, Bad Bunny described how the track came together.

“I remember I got a call and they told me that they wanted me to participate in Cardi B’s album,” Bunny said. “They told me the track was a surprise, even for her. The producers were working on it. She didn’t know that track was being made…I loved the track from the beginning.”

Cardi B is in the process of one last marketing push for her album Invasion of Privacy before she goes on a brief maternity leave. Last week, she proved once again that she is the ”Trap Selena” on Jennifer Lopez’s “Dinero” and dropped the Kill Bill-inspired video for “Be Careful.” It is safe to say Cardi is leaving fans with enough musical gifts until her triumphant return on tour with Bruno Mars this fall.

Cardi B Is The ‘Trap Selena’ On Jennifer Lopez’s Bilingual New ‘Dinero’

Just last month, Cardi B dropped her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, and its seemingly infinite listenability had us wondering: Which potential single had the power to become the next “Bodak Yellow”? Our writer Charles Holmes posited that “I Like It,” with its Bad Bunny and J Balvin features, “has the potential to be the ‘Despacito’ or ‘Mi Gente’ of summer 2018.”

But that was before we heard “Dinero,” Cardi’s new collab with Jennifer Lopez that dropped on Thursday (May 17).

On the new bilingual track, J.Lo maintains that money is her primary motivating force and that, in no uncertain terms, she gets it. “Me and Benjamín Franco stay at the banco / Getting checks like Nike, everywhere that I go,” Jenny opens the song before settling into its main refrain and hook: “Yo quiero, yo quiero dinero” (or “I want money).

Cardi’s presence on the track serves to remind us exactly who she is, at one point referring to herself as the “trap Selena.” And of course, she has to shout out that both her and J.Lo come from the same place: “Two bad bitches that came from the Bronx / Cardi from the pole and Jenny from the block.”

DJ Khaled is here, too, doing plenty of DJ Khaled things like announcing the names of all the performers on the track at the appropriate times. “Dinero” follows Lopez’s “El Anillo” from last month.

Check out the song above, and if you haven’t already, add it to your summer playlists. It’s nearly that time once again.

Cardi B Reveals The Sex Of Her Baby And 4 More Juicy Revelations From New Interview

Cardi B has always been candid about the pressures of fame, and now the “Be Careful” singer is opening up about potentially going to therapy.

“People used to be like, ‘maybe you should do therapy,’” Cardi stated. “And I used to be like, uh-uh, colored folks, we don’t need none of that. We just go to church, and we pray about it. And then it’s just like… I think it’s a little bit more than that. I don’t want people to think I’m not enjoying this moment, [but] it’s just a lot to handle.”

Cardi B Talks About Her Pregnancy & Making Money Moves On TRL

These days, it’s impossible to go anywhere without a mention of Cardi B—I barely remember what life was like before the entertainment world revolved around her! Last week, the rapper sealed her fate as a music legend with the release of her bombshell debut album titled Invasion Of Privacy. Following all of her groundbreaking success, it only seemed right that the Love & Hip-Hop alum take over the TRL studio for the day to celebrate her latest accomplishments.

Sway Calloway made his epic return to MTV to celebrate this monumental moment, also tapping Cardi’s sister Hennessy Carolina to co-host the show and count down her top 10 iconic moments. After they warmed up the show, Queen Cardi sat on her cushioned throne and talked everyone through her latest life updates, including her newly announced pregnancy, her engagement to Offset, what went down at the Invasion Of Privacy release party and the moment that she felt like she finally made it.

Cardi also reflected on the legacy of her viral video for “a hoe never gets cold” and then got super nostalgic with Hennessy in a round of I Did It that ended with her casually getting a brand-new Gucci bag. J Balvin and DJ Khaled also sent over some special shoutouts, which was too cute. Cardi is truly a character with a big personality, so it made sense that some fierce drag queens touched down in the studio and embodied a few of our favorite versions of her. On top of that, Cardi also got a custom cover blanket courtesy of collage.com, a one-of-a-kind painting and a gigantic cake. Just another day in the fabulous life of Cardi B!

Is Cardi B’s ‘Bickenhead’ Her Next ‘Bodak Yellow’? And More Moments From Invasion Of Privacy

Bodak Bar: “I took pictures with Beyoncé, I met Mama Knowles / I’m the rose that came from the concrete in the Rolls”

“Best Life,” featuring Chance The Rapper, is Invasion of Privacy‘s first great album cut. It isn’t as club-ready as “Bickenhead,” as worldly as “I Like It,” or vulnerable like “Thru Your Phone,” but it doesn’t need to be.

The genius of “Best Life” is the way it positions Cardi next to Chance. The Chicago artist doesn’t outrap Cardi like he tends to do and he might not have been able to considering how hard the former Love & Hip Hop actress spits throughout the album. Instead of lyrical competition, the low-key song allows for both rappers to get inspirational while collectively geeking out about how they met Beyoncé.

Cardi B’s ‘Bartier Cardi’ Video Is A Decadent Dream Of Furs And Half-Naked Men

Last night (April 2), Cardi B dropped the video for “Bartier Cardi” featuring 21 Savage. The surrealist and opulent vision is directed by Petra Collins who is known for what The New Yorker calls a ”dreamy, hyper-feminine aesthetic.” Throughout the video, the Bronx rapper is decked in luxurious furs as she raps in a mansion full of male eye candy and women counting money next to candy.

21 Savage is briefly kidnapped and forced to look at television screens that show nothing but static. Thankfully, the Atlanta rapper doesn’t seem to mind. 21 is either really into BDSM or potentially has a form of Stockholm syndrome.

Finally, a ”Bartier Cardi” visual wouldn’t be complete without a cameo from Offset. The video keeps it PG and avoids putting any anatomical regions on the Migos member. Guess Cardi and Offset will have to wait a little longer to “sell that porn.”

Last week, Cardi revealed that her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, is dropping on Friday (April 6). Recently she’s been teasing fans with updates like her rendition of Cheetah Girls anthem “Cinderella” and releasing her third single, “Be Careful.”

Cardi B Is An Honorary Disney Princess After Her Immaculate Cheetah Girls Cover

Please say Cardi B isn’t trolling. Yesterday (March 28), the “Bodak Yellow” star playfully teased a song from her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. Although, instead of the Bronx rapper breaking out into her signature staccato flow, she decided to bring back a 2003 classic, “Cinderella” by The Cheetah Girls. Above an Instagram caption that simply read “Invasion of privacy

Cardi B Says The #MeToo Movement Overlooks Women In Hip-Hop

For several months, the #MeToo movement has shed light on how prevalent sexual harassment and abuse are in women’s lives, both inside and outside Hollywood. But according to Cardi B, there’s a double standard at play: women in the hip-hop community aren’t being heard in the same way, and the movement has yet to effectively seep into the music industry.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, the rapper calls out #MeToo for not being fully inclusive, especially when it comes to video models, who are often seen and not heard.

“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a fuck,” she explained. “When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their dicks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’

“These producers and directors, they’re not woke, they’re scared,” Cardi continued, questioning the motives behind the high-profile men publicly supporting #MeToo.

Along the same times, Cardi also discussed her past life as a stripper and how it’s often twisted in the media to paint a misleading picture of her life. The truth, she said, is that stripping is a legitimate job that warrants respect.

“People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it,’” Cardi said. “Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on.”

As per usual, Cardi doesn’t seem to be at a loss for words, and with her debut album finally on the way, it looks like we’ll be hearing a lot more from her soon.

Cardi B Proudly Reveals Her Album Is Dropping Very Soon

Last night (March 11), Cardi B proved once again that her charisma could take over any award show she goes too. Cardi started the iHeartRadio Music Awards off with a performance of “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi” before walking away with the Best New Artist award. During her speech, she gave fans an update on when they can expect her long-awaited debut.

“My album will be coming in April,” said Cardi. “Yes, sir, April. Stay tuned, motherfuckers.”

The “Motorsport” star also took time out of her acceptance speech to thank her publicist, label, and fiancé Offset. However, it wouldn’t be a Cardi speech without a little bit of bite for her detractors.

“I want to thank my fans, Bardi Gang, because even when I’m wrong, they be like, ‘She’s still right,’” said Cardi. “I want to thank my haters too, because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it, but it benefits me.”

In a Beats 1 Radio interview with Julie Adenuga, the “Finesse” rapper described why she will always rap about her haters.

“I’m always gonna talk about them because I hate them,” said Cardi. “I hate y’all. I wish y’all catch something. … I’m not too cool to tell your fucking ass something. Like, how your fucking square ass is gonna talk about me?”

Guess we’ll have to wait until April to see what the anti-Cardi brigade has to say about an entire album of slander.
