BROCKHAMPTON Have Another Title For Their Upcoming Album And It’s Illuminating

BROCKHAMPTON is back with a new album title and a sort-of release date for their follow-up to SATURATION III. On Sunday (August 26), the group posted a photo that read, “BROCKHAMPTON’s 4th studio album will be released this September,” with the album’s title Iridescence beneath the succinct sentence.

The group’s latest project has gone through a variety of changes after member Ameer Vann was accused of sexual misconduct in early May and subsequently kicked out. Previous titles for the record included Puppy, Team Effort, and The Best Years of Our Lives. Kevin Abstract thanked fans on Twitter for their patience and described how recording their next album in a new country helped his creative process.

“Brand new music brand new feelings iridescence,” Abstract wrote. “Not tryna lead anyone on or anything I just want us to keep making stuff we’re proud of and put it out when we’re ready. I mean it from the bottom of my heart when I say thank you for your patience…I don’t know if I would have been able to write another record if we didn’t come to Europe – thanks for all the positive love man it was surreal this year has been one long ass dream.”

In a July interview with Billboard, Abstract briefly explained the controversial handling of Vann’s exit.

“We got off social media so we could finish working on the album and during that same month that’s when the allegations came up,” Abstract said. “We were really slow to respond to them. I just felt terrible that the fans couldn’t reach us for answers.”

Iridescence will be the boy band’s first album in the wake of their turbulent year. Although, listening to their latest releases — “1999 WILDFIRE,” “1998 TRUMAN,” and “1997 DIANA” — it seems like they’re committed to moving forward.

Another Look at the Air Jordan 1 “Sports Illustrated”

Jordan Brand is reaching back to the infancy of Michael Jordan‘s professional career to drive new iterations of his very first signature shoe — the Air Jordan 1. Later this year, in ode to his Rookie of the Year acknowledgment, a shoe carrying that moniker will hit stores. Its inspiration is taken not only from the trophy he hoisted that year, but a buttery brown shirt he wore during the award presentation.

On pace with that release in another that also draws from Jordan’s crowning rookie season. Sparked by a moment in advance of his Rookie of the Year honors, this release finds momentum in a vintage Sports Illustrated cover.

The issue, labeled “A Star is Born,” released on December 10, 1984. It saw Jordan positioned between three Milwaukee Bucks defenders at the rim with an intense focus in his eyes. Each of the three Bucks players were facing Jordan but angled sideways towards the advantageous photographer, who caught the gradient green and white fade of their red trimmed uniforms. From that moment, and those poses, Jordan Brand found the fuel to drive the forthcoming Air Jordan 1 “Sports Illustrated” edition.

From an outward vantage, the shoe is of very little grandiosity. Crafted in premium tumbled leather, the style features a white base with black overlays — standard issue by most accounts. It’s the iconic Swoosh branding that informs the shoe and supports its narrative. That same gradient pattern from those elder Bucks unis is seen through a striped green and white Swoosh, trimmed in red. A matching red Wings logo punctuates this penetrating theme.

Jordan Brand has not officially announced the shoe nor its release date. However, several reports indicate that the Air Jordan 1 “Sports Illustrated” will debut sometime during the brand’s coveted holiday release calendar.

Update8/6: A closer look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Sports Illustrated” courtesy of sayitwityakickz is revealed. A holiday 2018 release is expected.

Air Jordan 3 JTH “Bio Beige” // Another Look

Last month, we reported that the Air Jordan 3 JTH “Bio Beige” would be releasing this month. Well, it looks like the wait will be a bit longer.

Fortunately, it also looks like it will be worth it. Seen in detail by @23talk, the Justin Timberlake take on the Tinker sketch sneaker sees a truly outdoorsy take. No, there’s no lug sole or waterproof detailing (that we know of), but the tones actually match that of the artist’s album.

Based in an earthy shade of brown and contrasted by dark elephant print, sail sole work, yellow eyelets and hunter orange accents on the tongue lining make these more worthy of mulching than the Super Bowl style. A smoky sole caps the colorway, with notations like “HIGHER” and “Fame is a Lie” offering either identity or advice.

Reports now peg this shoe to launch on August 28th, which makes more sense given the autumn orientation of the model’s palette. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for more updates.

Nike LeBron 15 “Fruity Pebbles” // Another Look

LeBron James is a fan of many things. His family, his teammates, his friends, his cereal. The King has made no secret of his adoration for the latter. In fact, he’s impressed upon us those notions through themed sneakers, honoring his love for, just guessed it, Fruity Pebbles.

Nothing has changed where the LeBron 15 is concerned as another iteration of the cereal-inspired theme crowns his new silhouette. First seen on-court last month, the vibrant Battleknit enabled colorway is said to release this April at select Swoosh retailers.

Air Jordan 11 Low “Cool Grey” // Another Look

Next April, an adapted form of a favorite is set to impact with the Air Jordan 11 Low “Cool Grey” debut.

Imagined in Photoshop glory here at Nice Kicks years ago, the real deal is set to hit retail in below ankle fashion with most of its mid top qualities carried over. Per usual, grey covers the entire upper, with white gracing the laces and midsole and icy blue capping off the outsole. Perhaps polarizing, the suede on the upper appears long haired than the sportier mids.

Previewed by @pinoe77, get an early look at this spring retro below.

Is Another Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Dropping?

We’ve heard stories of unreleased prequel shoes like the Air Max Zero, but could the next Off-White x Air Jordan 1 possibly be the first?

Following Virgil going 10-for-10 on his first Nike collaborative collection, his “Chicago” take on the Air Jordan 1 is the toast of the industry, winning awards as best of the year before the year is yet to even end. Heck, we can’t even argue against it. While that Bulls homage hit home for sneakerheads in and out of the Windy City, an all-white Off-White x Air Jordan 1 sample has surfaced and there’s a good chance it’s not only next but perhaps the first.

As you may recall, our own Ray Polanco was on hand to cover Virgil’s very anticipated OFF-CAMPUS event. During the event, Abloh claimed that the original Off-White x Air Jordan 1 was supposed to be all white, much like the 97s in the collection. However, upon seeing an airport attendee in all-white Dunk Highs he realized they looked nearly identical. Such a slip on his first Air Jordan design would turn the HYPEBEAST section ablaze, dooming The 10 before it even launched. The Jordan 1s were switched to a “Chicago” motif in the final stages of rollout.

Still, could the original AJ1 from Virgil be the next? An on-foot spotting has our hopes up, let us know if you’d like to see these launch on social and in the comments section.

Another “Multicolor” Nike Air VaporMax Has Surfaced

A Nike Air VaporMax “Multicolor” released earlier this year in Japan as a regional exclusive many thought would never see the light of day in the States. And to our knowledge, they won’t. But this ringer just might, and apparently very soon.

Exploring a very similar look and feel to the aforementioned release, a grey Flyknit upper is surrounded by a rainbow-like wrap just above the VaporMax sole unit. Release details for this new Nike Air VaporMax “Multicolor” haven’t yet been revealed. Stay tuned for more.

Previewed this weekend by Bari himself, he again works with the Bruce Kilgore designed classic only this time with what looks to be primary black/blue shades. Bari would only allude to the shoe “coming soon,” with no actual timetable for the release. Stay tuned for more.

Another Look at the Nike SF-AF1 Mid

Earlier this week we reported that Nike would be releasing an SF-AF1 Mid. Today more images of the shoe are unveiled, with three colorways in all now in full lateral viewing.

Vindicated in white, black and camouflage, each style bears a slight shorter frame as opposed to the traditional SF-AF1 while also seeking zipped construction at the heel and a top strap in lieu of paracord straps. An inscription above the rear paneling reads “URBAN UTILITY FTWR” which leans towards the shoes militaristic inspiration.

Take a look at all three Nike SF-AF1 Mid colorways and stay tuned to Nice Kicks for release details.
