Robert Geller and Common Projects have teamed up to produce a small collection of footwear that includes these slick High-Top sneakers. Available in either black or navy, the sneakers are made in Italy using only the finest Nappa leather. The leathers used for the uppers feature a pronounced grain save for the tongue, which comes in a contrasting smooth leather. Both colorways are finished off with black rubber soles, black laces and the brand’s signature gold stamp at the heel. Both colorways are available now from SSENSE for $ 600 USD.

Israeli Artist Know Hope Talks of Politics, Patriotism and Folklore in His Work

This month Tel Aviv-based artist took over London’s Lazarides Rathbone gallery with his solo debut, The Abstract and The Very Real. Intersecting human connection with society and the political forces that drives certain social conditions — in this instance, the on-going unrest in Israel — Know Hope presents a series of unique art installations with the help of found objects. Here, vintage frames and old papers become accomplices in his conceptual work, expanding from the confinements of canvas and frames to represent both freedom and decay. Studying various entities that stand between us such as fences, walls and boarders, the artist compares these with political implications and collective emotions it creates.
